Congratulations to Coach Huw Williams and the U10 Boys SBV Arsenal team for winning the Friendship Cup this spring!  Arsenal is a U10 team that plays in Heartland’s U11 Division 1.  In Heartland, SBV Arsenal has zero losses - so far this spring...3 wins and 2 ties!  Great Job!

The U9 Boys Newcastle team has had a very successful spring!  They won the gold division at the Legendinhos Youth Classic in Memphis and this past weekend, won the Midwest Mother’s Day Classic - Gold Division.  Newcastle is coached by Tom Mura and plays in U9 Division 1 in Heartland.  Way to play, Boys!!

Tom Mura’s SBV Man United U11 Boys team has brought home two championship trophies this spring.  Playing in the Gold Division, they recently won first place in the Midwest Mother’s Day Classic and in April, won the Legendinhos Youth Classic in Memphis, TN.  Man United plays in U11 Division 1 in Heartland.  Awesome spring!!

Futsal in the United States is growing rapidly as coaches and players are discovering the technical and tactical benefits of this fast-paced indoor court game, not only for those that play soccer but also those players best suited for the Futsal game itself. Our goal with the US Youth Futsal Camp is to grow the game of Futsal at the youth level – enhancing the skills of all soccer players as well as identifying players whose talents could yield a future in the game of Futsal. We have created this highly competitive Futsal camp to foster the growth of elite Futsal players.

SPORTING Blue Valley Executive/Technical Director - Board of Directors and SPORTING KC Manager, Peter Vermes voted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. 

Tryout dates for SPORTING Blue Valley Premier teams will be Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 9th, 2013.  Rainout dates are Monday, June 10th through Wednesday, June 12th.  All tryouts will be held at the Overland Park Soccer Complex - Training facility of SPORTING Blue Valley.  All those wishing to tryout are REQUIRED to register.  Online registration will begin MAY 1ST.   There is no cost to register and no cost to tryout.  The tryout schedule will be posted on our website in late May.  Should you make a Premier team, the mandatory Premier Team meetings will be held Saturday, June 22nd - location TBD.

Congratulations to Coach Nac Neuendorf and the U13 SBV Sochaux team.  The girls were finalists in the U13 White Division at the Challenger Cup this past weekend.  Keep up the great effort!

For the second time, the Overland Park Soccer Complex is the official venue to the US Youth Nationals - held here July 22-28, 2013. To prepare for this prestigious week of soccer, SPORTING Blue Valley is asking YOU to volunteer your time to help this event run smoothly. Youth (age 10 and older) and Adults are needed.
